Organizing the Desk

Uh, yeah. I REALLY hate myself right now. Before my desk organization/clean up I took a picture... but I didn't realize until I was done cleaning that I didn't have my memory card in the camera! Now, I have every USB cord possible (even ones for Zip drives.. wtf?) but I don't have a USB cord for the camera. Go figure. The before picture was hideous. How I worked at my desk before, I have no idea. I couldn't just explain it to you... so instead I took a webcam picture of the view finder on my camera. Yay... it looks like poop!




So there is the before and after. Gorgeous finish, right? I know, it's not as beautiful as most of the bloggers I stalk, but remember... I'm not renovating yet, just cleaning! :D




Here is the top desk drawer. It was a mess. With old credit cards, business cards, funeral arrangements for people I've never even met? Oh and don't forget about the crazy peace pipe thing I found. My Mother was a strange creature. I got rid of almost everything in this drawer, tested all the pens (and canned the ones that didn't work), sharpened all the pencils and found cubbys for the office knick-knacks.




I took plastic clear cups to house all my cords. I absolutely hate when my cords are all over the place, nothing is worse than when all your electronics get locked up together. These drawers can make better knots than I can.




Just some drawers. SUPER DECLUTTERED! Can you tell I'm excited?




And finally... I feel a huge relief. No more horrible wire shelves on the side of my desk. No more overflowing drawers. No more junk! I think in a few weeks I'm going to be painting this desk. I think I'm going to stick around a baby blue and white. Any ideas?
